EDUCATION
Daecheong Ha studied Science and Technology Studies at Seoul National University(PhD), neurobiology at Postech(M.S.), and mechanical engineering at Seoul National University(B.S). Before his time at GIST, he was a senior research fellow at the Korea National Institute for Bioethics Policy in Seoul. His research focuses primarily on embodiment and representation, and knowledge politics at the intersection of culture and technology. The research he recently completed was about the relationship between culture, family dynamics, and biopolitics in living donor organ transplantation in modern Korea. His current work examines the social and political aspects of contemporary digital platforms, especially illuminating gift-commodity relationships in digital communities.
